SALES, SHIPPING & RETURN POLICIES

Buying from Us

Cuttings are pick-up at the in person sale only. No exceptions.

We guarantee that each tuber you receive will have at least one viable eye and will grow true to the labeled variety.

All tubers we sell are ones we would confidently grow ourselves. Tubers may vary in size, shape, or appearance and may be small, irregular, or unattractive — this does not affect viability. If a tuber has an eye, it has the potential to grow.

If this variability is not something you’re comfortable with, we encourage you to shop with a seller whose policies better meet your expectations.

Please immediately remove the tuber to inspect upon delivery and store using your preferred method.  Please notify us within 5 days of delivery with any concerns.

“Limit 1” Varieties: Please adhere to the limits placed on certain varieties. If more than 1 variety is purchased per household the order will be refunded.

Returns/Exchanges/Refunds

All tubers are carefully labeled and checked prior to shipping. However, mislabels may occasionally occur.

Once tubers have been delivered, we are not responsible for storage, planting, environmental conditions, or growing outcomes.

Refunds or replacements are only available for confirmed mislabels and must be reported by September 15 of the growing season. Requests received after this date cannot be honored.

If a mislabel is confirmed, customers may choose either:

A refund for the purchase price of the tuber only, OR A replacement tuber the following spring

Shipping fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.

A note on virus...

Virus is incredibly prevalent in dahlias.

We do our best to minimize the spread of virus in our dahlias by practicing good sanitation when cutting our dahlias and by culling plants that look viral or suspicious.

Furthermore, we are inspected yearly by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for plant health. We will never knowingly reproduce or sell anything viral. As it is incredibly difficult to trace the source of virus, there will be no refunds given for a plant suspected of virus.

Frequently asked questions

No instructions are included. Customers are expected to know how to store and grow tubers.
For guidance, we recommend the American Dahlia Society (www.dahlia.org).

How are tubers packaged?

Tubers are individually packaged with peat. Packages do not include planting instructions, extras, or embellishments.
