You know her, you love her, you gotta have her! It's The Special!

I have been thrilled with the reception DL's The Special received in her debut year. You have all been exceptionally kind and encouraging and it seems like you really love her in your garden or you want to add her to your garden.

Color and form: in my garden she has a little bit of everything! She tends to start out a little more cream and the petals go more frilly, twisty and curly. She does have some yellow tones. If you are a person who has flowers that go yellow in your garden, you may not like The Special. Later on in the season the petals flatten out and I see more of the pink and purple hues.

The plant can be bushy and incredibly sturdy. By the end of the season The Special is usually 5-5.5' in my garden with 4" blooms.

She gets bonus points for being an excellent tuber producer when grown from both a tuber and cutting. The tubers have also been easy to store. Also a very good producer of seed.
